Book Review: Novel Revision Prompts by Rayne Hall

Howdy my lovelies! Rayne has done it once again. Check out her newest author help book.

My review:

In the last couple months I’ve been seriously seeking books to help improve my writing skills. I’ve purchased and read over 50 and of all of them Rayne is the best. I’ve read all of her books, own them all, and refer to them over and over.

Rayne puts things in plain simple terms, easy to read and understand, thus making it easy to apply the techniques. I really like not having to read through another author’s bragging about themselves before getting to what I really need/want to know. In my opinion, every author should have all of Rayne’s books on their shelves.

To Kindle Unlimited or Not

Howdy my lovelies! All three of my books are enrolled in Amazon’s Kindle Direct Publishing program. If you’re unsure of what this is check out the blip below. I’ve read the pros and cons from several people all over the internet and made my decision to join. I wasn’t thrilled with the idea of only being able to sell my eBooks on Amazon Kindle. And I liked the idea of high royalties etc etc. However, I think I’ve come to the point where I don’t want the limitation of only selling on Amazon.

March 1st Poaching the Immortal will be removed from KDP and April 21st Vengeance of the Werewolf and Life After will be removed as well. I’m eager to relist them on Nook.

What do you think? Really, I’d love to hear what you think.

Snazzy Book Covers, Does Your Book Need A Tune Up?

Hey there my lovelies! As we all know each and every author want their books to sell. Well the lovely Rayne Hall has a wonder book titled: Why Does My Book Not Sell? 20 Simple Fixes. If you all haven’t figured it out yet, I’m a big fan of Rayne’s work because I’ve learned so much from her Writer’s Craft books.

Anyhow, back on subject, in her book it talks about your cover image or lack of or whatever can have a major impact on sales. I’ve proud to say I’ve designed all my covers. But the one book I truly am proud of the cover and it gets a lot of traffic if Vengeance of The Werewolf. I’ve looked at Life After’s cover many times and never could quite see it and now it’s the same way with my newest book Poaching the Immortal.

Thanks to all the authors I’ve met through my Interview FoxSeat I’ve picked up a few things here and there. I saw a couple book covers that just blew my mind. The author used SelfPubBookCovers for their professionally designed cover. First thing I wanted to know is how spendy are they. Imagine my surprise when I see these really awesome covers under $100. I’ve already got a new cover for one of my books and am searching for another for the other book.

I wanted to share with everyone this wonderful place I’m finding covers at.

Here’s your mission–buy Rayne’s book, slap a new snazzy eye catching cover on it, do what Rayne instructs in her book and roll the dice. 🙂

Hello lovelies! I just had to share my newest thing. I submitted a short story to a publisher. It was an erotic story. My best friend is the person who found this add for Ghostwriting erotic short stories. When she sent it to me she meant it as I joke. I took it serious. So I wrote a story and sent it in. You can imagine my surprise when they picked my manuscript and offered a contract! I’m so thrilled.

To all my author friends, keep at it. I truly hope my blog and meeting all these awesome people will help us get our brands out there.
